About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Thermotraffic. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and optimized utilization of our cold store sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise engineers to ensure maximum effectiveness and utilization of our UK plant and engineering resource.
  • Apply a proactive approach to the prevention of equipment failure through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Respond rapidly to any breakdowns and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Efficiently manage and facilitate teams to resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion.
  • Identify and analyze problems together with teams before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up.
  • Oversee on-site contractors and ensure compliance of the 'Permit to Work' system by all employees/contractors.
Requirements
  • Bias Electrical, and/or mechanical qualifications/time served apprenticeship. Level 3 minimum.
  • Previous industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Solid IT skills, with familiarity with computerized planned maintenance systems management essential.
  • The data and analytical skills necessary to perform effective troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of temperature control and refrigeration systems.
  • Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety knowledge.
  • A good standard of both written and oral English.
