We are seeking an experienced Chief Operations Officer to oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of our prestigious office in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing two members of staff and ensuring the effective running of the office.

About the Role:

  • Manage the overall operations of the office, including facilities management, reception services, and stationery supplies.
  • Be the face of DP World, promoting a professional and approachable image at all times.
  • Plan and coordinate business events, including visits from international stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all necessary resources, including catering and vending consumables, are available.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by reporting any health and safety issues to the Regional Property Manager.
  • Induct new employees on health and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate the setup of new starters with our catering providers and online accounts.
  • Manage user access to the business continuity system (SIREN) and send emergency messages to staff using Siren.
  • Supervise the contracted cleaner and catering support staff.
  • Manage the franking machine and replenish stationery stocks as needed.
  • Develop relationships with lunch providers and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist with out-of-hours events.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all staff and external partners.
  • Implement efficient filing systems, leveraging technology where possible.
  • Provide administrative support with apartment building management.
  • Foster a problem-solving mindset within the team.

Your Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in coordinating office operations in large, multinational or corporate environments.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to manage changing priorities and multitask effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Facilities management/H&S qualification advantageous.
  • Highly IT literate, with confidence in MS Office applications.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, reflecting your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including a bonus scheme, pension plan, and generous holiday allowance.
