Job Overview

The Isles of Scilly Travel Group operates a fleet of vessels providing freight and passenger services between the mainland and the Isles of Scilly. We are currently looking for a Seasonal Able Seaman to join our crew onboard Scillonian III.

About the Position

This is a seasonal role working from late February to early November. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks including vessel mooring, gangway operations, and maintenance duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform mooring and gangway operations safely and efficiently
  • Assist passengers when boarding and disembarking vessels
  • Undertake routine maintenance tasks to maintain the safety and condition of vessels
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Navigational Watch Rating certificate
  • EDH and PSCRB certificates
  • Mandatory STCW certificates
  • ENG1 medical certificate
  • Right to Work in the UK
Working Conditions and Benefits
