Job Title: UK Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UK Design Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of our engineering design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of new and existing facilities, ensuring that they meet the business requirements from a colleague, legal, and reliability perspective.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned design professional to take on a leadership role and drive the design and delivery of facilities management assets. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business, including senior leaders at a UK and site-specific level, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of new and existing facilities, ensuring that they meet the business requirements from a colleague, legal, and reliability perspective.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all design projects.
  • Collaborate with the engineering design team to ensure that design projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior design team members.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification (HND/Degree level or equivalent) in a relevant field such as engineering design, architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Significant previous experience in a design role, preferably in a FMCG or construction environment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety, Fire Strategy, and Building Regulations within construction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
