Engineering Trainer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Trainer to join our team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to apprentices, focusing on Mechanical Maintenance and Assembly skills. This will involve creating and implementing innovative teaching and learning experiences, managing physical learning resources, and ensuring the progress of learners towards completing their apprenticeship in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver subjects that align with competencies of the individual, with a bias towards Mechanical Maintenance and Assembly.
  • Support the delivery of level 2, 3, and HNC programs, developing independent learners and enabling apprentice progression.
  • Manage all physical learning resources and teaching spaces to ensure effective training and assessment.
  • Create learning content and develop apprenticeship trailblazers' schemes-of-work, integrating relevant existing training offers from industry partners.
  • Ensure the progress of learners towards completing their apprenticeship in a timely manner.

This role will require the ability to deliver high-quality electrical bias training to satisfy Awarding Body requirements and Apprenticeship Standard Duties/KSBs. The successful candidate will also support the delivery of topics they have knowledge or experience in to ensure the smooth delivery of learning to people accessing MTC Training provision.

Person Specification:
  • High level of engineering knowledge, preferably gained from several years of industrial experience.
  • Evidence of knowledge in teaching methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • Industry-related qualifications such as L3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above.
  • Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification.
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
