Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance and Payroll Officer to join their team in Sheffield. This permanent role is a crucial part of delivering financial services and requires a strong leader to collaborate with the finance business partner to ensure accurate and timely accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial ledgers and maintain fixed asset registers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Support the production of management and statutory accounts, and oversee monthly payroll to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Lead a small team to improve processes and provide support and training to team members.
  • Contribute to management accounts, forecasts, and budgets for the department, working closely with the finance business partner, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Support the end-of-year audit process to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Part-qual ACCA/CIPP qualification and previous experience in team leadership.
  • Experience of developing a team and using complex spreadsheets to analyze financial data.
