Freight Forwarder Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their team. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the export of goods, ensuring timely delivery, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with sea freight partners to ensure goods are delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients to ensure smooth running of operations.
  • Responsible for liaising with customers regarding delivery estimates.
  • Responsible for handling exporting of goods, including booking sea freight shipments and ensuring documentation is in order.
  • Keep customers informed of the status of their shipments.
  • Deal with all relevant documentation in relation to exporting goods.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a previous sea freight role is essential.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of export procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
