Job Description

Müller is a leading dairy company in the UK and Ireland, employing over 31,000 people throughout Europe. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team at our Droitwich Depot.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting drivers in their role, improving their knowledge and understanding, and ensuring they perform their duties in a safe and responsible manner. The Driver Trainer will be site-based and will have added responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting driving assessments for new and existing drivers
  • Delivering driver CPC training
  • Providing support for on-route learning and delivery point familiarisation
  • Monitoring tachograph infringement trends and providing support and manual entry training as required
  • Coaching on safe driving, accident, and fuel focus development
  • Mentoring warehouse to wheels and other training scheme candidates
Key Responsibilities

The Driver Trainer will be responsible for:

  • Conducting regular driving assessments to ensure drivers are meeting the required standards
  • Delivering driver CPC training to new and existing drivers
  • Providing support and guidance to drivers on route learning and delivery point familiarisation
  • Monitoring tachograph infringement trends and providing support and manual entry training as required
  • Coaching drivers on safe driving practices, accident prevention, and fuel efficiency
  • Mentoring drivers on warehouse to wheels and other training schemes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full and current Cat C+E driving license for at least 3 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A full understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph legislation
  • A full understanding of road transport working time directive (RTWTD) legislation
  • Ability to deliver driver CPC training
  • Good understanding of the English language
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good timekeeping and attendance records
  • Versatility and flexibility to work a variety of shifts
