About the Position

The City of Birmingham is seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web-based systems and applications to meet the needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop web-based systems and applications using a variety of programming languages and technologies.
  2. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  3. Develop and maintain high-quality code to ensure the stability and security of our web-based systems.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
  5. Participate in continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in web development using languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side languages like Java, .NET, or Python.
  3. Experience with front-end and back-end development, including databases and API integration.
  4. Strong understanding of web development frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
