About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at CrossReach. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to individuals with learning disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver flexible support services to individuals with learning disabilities, addressing their care needs and promoting their independence.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop personalized care plans to ensure the safety and well-being of our service users.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Help individuals develop life skills, manage personal budgets, and access education, employment, and leisure opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and other professionals to ensure a high-quality service.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
  • Membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Previous experience in a care or support role, with a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
