About the Role
The Nelson Medical Practice in Wimbledon Chase is seeking a skilled Nurse Associate to join our team. As a Nurse Associate, you will work closely with our experienced Practice Nurses and the wider clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care while undertaking specific clinical tasks under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Be actively involved in the provision of health education and self-management advice to patients, relatives, and carers.
- Support individuals with all aspects of care, including daily living, providing person-centered care, and promoting health and independence.
- Work with a supervisor to develop your clinical competence, leadership, and reflective practice skills within the workplace.
- Perform and record clinical observations, such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse.
- Discuss and share information with registered nurses about patients' health conditions, activities, and responses.
- Develop an understanding of caring and supporting people with dementia, mental health conditions, and learning disabilities.

We are a friendly and professional team that prides itself on delivering high-quality patient care. Our team consists of Partners, an Executive Management Team, Salaried GPs, experienced Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, a First Contact Physio, Paramedics, Physicians Associates, and an experienced team of support staff. We are a training practice, training GPs and medical students, and we also provide mentoring.
Person Specification
- The applicant must be a Registered Nurse Associate on the NMC register and hold a Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
- Desirable but not essential: trained in Phlebotomy.
