Finance and Funding Assistant

The Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and organized Finance and Funding Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the Finance and Funding team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the unit's financial activities.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the day-to-day activities of the finance and funding service, including raising invoices, taking payments from patients, and completing cost of treatment quotations.
- Providing an efficient service to check that all NHS referrals to the Hewitt Centre are eligible for NHS-funded IVF treatment, involving a detailed knowledge of numerous sets of eligibility criteria.
- Generating debt reminder letters monthly using the Infertility Database for Embryology and Andrology Systems (IDEAS) for both Liverpool and Knutsford sites.
- Using own initiative to propose financial agreements with patients, within agreed guidelines, ensuring these agreements are kept up to date.
- Assisting in the preparation of data for legal referrals to our debt collection agency.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A background in finance administration.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to respond to verbal or written instructions, with understanding.
- Good telephone manner.
- NVQ3 or equivalent.
- Experience within a clerical environment.
- Previous keyboard experience.
