Job Title: Specialist Physiotherapist - Community Ageing Well Service

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team as a Specialist Physiotherapist in the Community Ageing Well Service in Barnet.

About the Role

The Specialist Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing a clinically comprehensive Physiotherapy service and anticipatory care for adults 65+ living in the Borough of Barnet. The role will involve undertaking specialised uni-professional and multi-professional assessments, working within professional standards and clinical guidelines, and promoting best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake specialised assessments and re-assessments of treatment programmes using evidence-based outcome measures and in accordance with CSP Guidelines.
  • Work within professional standards and clinical guidelines, promote best practice, and undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, rehabilitation assistants, physiotherapy students, Frailty MDT Administrators, and Frailty Support Workers.
  • Support in the operations of the team.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Physiotherapist with:

  • Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of up to date CPD portfolio.
  • Experience working at a Junior level in a wide range of specialised clinical areas, providing care to frail and elderly patients with long-term conditions and/or complex health needs.
  • Experience in supervising, appraising, and coordination of junior staff/support workers.
  • Experience of negotiating and liaising within a multi-disciplinary team in NHS and social services.
