Freudenberg Performance Materials is a leading global supplier of innovative technical textiles, and we're seeking an experienced Electrical Multiskilled Engineer to join our team at our Littleborough site.

About the Role

This is a shift-based engineering role that requires a strong electrical bias, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing systems utilizing PLC's, motor controls, electrical wiring, and mechanical systems, including pneumatics and gears. As an Electrical Multiskilled Engineer, you will work closely with our highly skilled and well-established Engineering Team to ensure production and safety are delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct planned, preventative maintenance, including condition-based monitoring, and find and rectify faults through inputs and outputs and reading and acting on data.
  • Work with other teams to ensure production and safety are delivered to a high standard.
  • Meet all Health & Safety requirements and controls, with a flexible approach to working hours on a 2-shift system (6.00pm) with an overtime option to cover weekends if required.
  • Preventative maintenance, alongside diagnosis and corrective breakdown maintenance of plant and equipment in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Writing, reviewing, and training on maintenance procedures, including LOTO.
  • Raising and reviewing risk assessments and control of external contractors and their services in line with Company policy and procedures.
Requirements
  • Electrical bias with some mechanical experience desirable.
  • Experience of troubleshooting and repairing systems utilizing PLC's, motor controls, electrical wiring, and mechanical systems, including pneumatics and gears.
  • Existing knowledge of manufacturing systems and the skills required to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot such systems.
  • Qualifications such as (but not limited to) 17th / 18th Edition, Apprenticeship, HNC/D.
  • Problem-solving skills, looking for problems before they occur to make timely decisions, knowing the risks and implications.
