Job Description

Breedon Group plc is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team at Hope Cement Works. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe maintenance and development of our electrical network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports: Prepare detailed and accurate reports, utilizing industry-standard testing equipment and software, to identify any faults, defects, or potential hazards, including earthing and bonding issues, disconnection time issues, and deterioration of electrical components.
  • Visual and Thermographic Surveys: Carry out visual and thermographic surveys of electrical equipment to identify any potential issues.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electrical documentation using computerised maintenance management systems and applications.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Liaise with maintenance teams to schedule and coordinate electrical repairs and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Remedial Work: Identify the requirement for remedial work to electrical equipment and infrastructure.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical safety practices within the plant.
  • Installation and Remedial Works: Carry out installation and remedial works to low voltage electrical installations and equipment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: ONC, HNC, Level 3 City & Guilds or recognised apprenticeship in electrical installation, engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience carrying out Electrical Installation Condition reports.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills. A meticulous eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety. Experience working with three phase equipment and motor control centres is essential.
