The role of Senior Structural Designer is a key part of our team, responsible for ensuring that all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Asset priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with other disciplines in the execution of the work.
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft packages and required software packages for role.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work as a team member and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore personnel at all levels.
  • Comply with relevant codes of conduct.
  • Provide Discipline Design Support to satisfy the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards are not compromised by any Discipline Engineering Activities.
  • Conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards.
  • Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards.
  • Compliance with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate.
  • Operate and act responsibly, taking into account of the need to progress environmental, social and economic outcomes simultaneously.
  • Be responsible for continuing professional development necessary to maintain and enhance competence in own area of practice.
  • Supervision of other discipline designers within the scope of work, work is broadly determined by the Lead or Principal Engineer where informed guidance is available; to be able to demonstrate competence in the role.
  • Responsible for delivery as part of the project team for achieving the target and completion of design documentation within the budget and schedule.
