About the Job

Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment is looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Technologist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your electrical maintenance expertise to drive continuous improvement and strive for world-class engineering standards.

As a specialist in electrical maintenance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production plant. Your focus will be on using your electrical skills to maintain and repair plant, equipment, and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of electrical systems across the site.
  • Implementation of planned maintenance and repairs to ensure smooth production plant operation.
  • Delivery of cost-effective and reliable maintenance of site utility services.
  • Identification, recommendation, and implementation of continuous improvements and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Maintenance of systems, checks, procedures, records, and tests to meet site requirements.
  • Assistance in spare parts stock level management and availability.
  • Collaboration with production and technical areas to troubleshoot processing problems.
  • Assistance with operative training and instruction.
  • Work on CI projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Fully apprenticeship-trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of fault finding, repair, and installation work.
  • Experienced with PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Able to understand Technical Drawings.
  • IT literate.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Estimated salary: £45,000 per annum.
  • Bonus: 10% of salary based on company performance.
  • Pension: 3% employee contribution, 6% employer contribution.
  • Holidays: 22 shifts annually.
