Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join our team at Premier Recruitment Group Limited. As a skilled professional, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of our facilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as experience working in a manufacturing environment. They will be responsible for ensuring all work is properly documented, identifying and planning maintenance and corrective actions, and assisting in the delivery of basic training for Operators and Technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all work is properly documented
  • Identifying and planning of maintenance and corrective actions
  • Assisting and delivering basic training for Operators and Technicians on equipment function
  • Supervising and taking responsibility for Contractors on site
  • Understanding the Service Building and Site Maintenance, completing basic tasks in these areas
  • Controlling work through the Permit to Work system
  • Offering improvement ideas for production equipment and facilities
  • Performing electrical and mechanical installation works

Requirements:

  • Prefer Advanced Modern Apprenticeship trained
  • Electrically/Mechanical qualified within the following range: degree, HND/HNC, OND/ONC, BTEC 4 or 3 NVQ level 3 or above
  • Completed authorised or competent persons training
  • Technically competent to safely operate, make safe, and test systems or installations
  • Experienced shift engineer with a proven track record
  • Flexible to work days and nights
  • Multi Skilled (or electrical 18th edition)
  • Workshop machines and power tools experience
  • Experience of working in confined spaces & working at height
  • CI trained in manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of BRC and HACCP food standards

Salary: Estimated £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
