About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a statutory social worker, you will be accountable for delivering a high-quality social work service to those who need it.
You will be responsible for completing proportionate strengths-based conversations, planning, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with individuals and effectively into the future, building on good partnership working with health colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing levels of risk within a caseload of safeguarding cases
- Effectively coaching and supervising others, acting as a practice role model and promoting exemplary practice
- Remaining up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation and adhering to organisational procedures, policies, codes of conduct and the values of West Sussex
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised social work qualification
- Registration with Social Work England and responsible for maintaining registration
- Experience of managing complex cases and working within the timescales of the Discharge to Assess Model
