Accounting Technician Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding accountancy practice in Northern Ireland. As a fully qualified Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the practice's growing client base with financial record management, tax compliance, and client liaison.
Main Responsibilities
- Client Accounts Management: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and other reports as required.
- Tax Compliance: Support the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Client Liaison: Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing queries and providing clear and concise financial advice.
- Support to Senior Accountants: Work closely with senior accountants and other team members to ensure the smooth delivery of services and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Fully Qualified Accounting Technician (ATI or equivalent).
- Experience: Experience in an accountancy practice or similar financial environment is preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
