We are excited to be working with a global specialty insurance firm that is looking to expand its pricing data engineering team with an experienced data engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain data pipelines in a Spark-based platform to support the pricing function.
  • Develop innovative solutions that enhance the company's data-driven approach, leveraging internal and external data and optimizing fuzzy merge processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, pricing actuaries, and modellers to create predictive pricing solutions.
  • Gain expertise in the company's IT landscape, data systems, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure solutions follow data engineering best practices and participate in code reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
  • Assist in developing reporting dashboards and applications as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years' experience with Python, SQL, and/or PySpark for data solutions, ideally in insurance.
  • BSc/MSc in a numerical field, preferably computer science or data engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven expertise in ETL development, integrating multiple data sources into a production warehouse.
  • Strong skills in analysing, debugging, and solving complex problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of personal learning and development.
