About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our Oral Maxillo Facial and Orthodontic team in the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be required to work within both areas of speciality based in Wonford and in Heavitree, providing chair side and first support assistance to the Consultants in Maxillofacial / Oral / Orthodontics and their teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting and maintaining high quality efficient and effective patient care.
  • Working as part of a team to maintain a clean and safe clinic environment for patients and staff.

The ideal candidate will have been qualified with GDC registration for at least months along with Radiography and Sedation qualification and experience.

For the right candidate, we would be happy to consider somebody in a development role where you would be paid band 4, enabling you to complete the radiography and sedation qualification.

The post holder will be working within a range of specialised Clinics consisting of:

  • Head and Neck Cancer Clinics
  • Orthodontic Clinics
  • Orthognathic Clinics
  • Oral Surgery
  • Sedation (Inhalation and Intravenous)
  • Emergency Clinics

Further learning opportunities will be available to enable the development of new skills, with personal development and CPD fully encouraged.

Working Pattern: Service operates Monday to Friday. Full time and Part time positions are available.
