Construo is seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the delivery of commercial projects across the UK. As a key member of our Property Services team, you will be responsible for managing project development, team management, and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery: You will lead and deliver projects, providing technical support and ensuring client satisfaction. This will involve managing budgets, timelines, and resources to meet project objectives.

Team Management: You will be responsible for managing team development, recruitment, and project delivery. This will include mentoring and coaching team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.

Technical Support: You will provide technical support across a range of frameworks, including building services, property knowledge, and design specification. This will involve conducting feasibility studies, technical reporting, and site monitoring.

Client Management: You will collaborate with clients to manage risks related to technical and commercial aspects. This will involve communicating with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and developing solutions to meet their requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Chartered Status: Chartered status in Mechanical Engineering is essential. You will also need to be working towards or have achieved this status.

Experience: You will need to have experience in refurbishment, fit-out, and existing building projects. This will include experience in managing projects and teams effectively.

Technical Skills: You will need to have expertise in Building Services and property knowledge. Strong technical report writing and client-facing skills are also essential.

Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
