Job Opportunity

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is seeking a skilled HR & Payroll Assistant to join their team on a contract basis until 31 December 2024.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data entry, processing, and analysis, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and self-manage their time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination of HR & Payroll inboxes and escalation of complex queries
  • Supporting HR and Payroll Officers with accurate updates to the HR Management system
  • Input and payroll calculation checking
  • Proficiency in annual leave and salary calculations
  • Delivering administrative work to a high standard and on time
  • Taking notes for internal meetings and producing accurate, high-quality formal notes
  • Supporting recruitment and selection activities
  • Maintaining good records management practices

The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft packages, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, and have a strong written communication skillset.

Desirable skills include a proven track record of taking the initiative to deliver an excellent customer-focused service, experience with web-based HR systems, and SharePoint.
