Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Network Development Engineer graduate to join our AWS team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and scaling network infrastructure across multiple global data centers.

Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality network solutions that meet the ever-growing demands of our customers. You will work closely with automation teams to define tools that enable us to scale at unprecedented volumes.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to the development of our global network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and deploy network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics to support the Amazon Retail Service, Kindle, Payments, and multiple AWS services.
  2. Scale the network across multiple global Data Centers, ensuring seamless performance and reliability.
  3. Create and improve simple, repetitive deployment processes to increase both velocity and quality of delivery.
  4. Collaborate with internal customers on designs/solutions, bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production.
  5. Develop and update our network standards, ensuring that the network is deployed to these standards.
  6. Work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at unprecedented volume.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications, or a similar program graduating in 2024.
  • Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Experience scripting in languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.
  • Knowledge of IP Networking fundamentals and Routing Protocols such as BGP, OSPF, R&S.
  • Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
  • Ability to handle ambiguous or vaguely defined challenges and articulate technical solutions through abstract thinking.
