Job Title: Relief Chef Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Chef Manager to join our team. As a Relief Chef Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef/Manager in the kitchen operation and ensuring the company's reputation for food quality is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and cook menu items as directed by the Sous/Head Chef/Manager
  • Assist in the development and planning of menus, including future food trends, and be passionate about developing new styles of service and concepts in the location
  • Assist with stock taking when required
  • Carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section as appropriate
Client Service:
  • Ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded
  • Be customer-focused at all times, approachable, and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs
People:
  • Be a team player, assisting other team members when necessary
  • Treat members of the team at location as you would expect to be treated
  • Demonstrate and instruct Commis Chefs in food preparation and cooking skills as directed by the Sous/Head Chef
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience commensurate with role
  • Excellent creative culinary skills
  • Leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills
  • Proficiency in food cost management
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
