As an M&A Risk Director at Centrica, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial risks associated with our merger and acquisition activities are understood and effectively managed. Working closely with our M&A transaction team, you will be responsible for analysing deals and providing independent challenge to draw conclusions on inherent risks.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in commodity price risk management, preferably in the energy sector. You will also have experience in M&A, business development, and corporate finance transactions, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively challenge the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing internal team members and supporting the development of M&A risk analysts
  • Evaluating business cases and providing independent challenge to fully understand the inherent risks and mitigations associated with deals
  • Ensuring efficient and effective due diligence has been carried out
  • Building relationships with M&A Transaction team, Treasury, and Corporate Finance

We offer a competitive salary of £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a comprehensive pension scheme and generous holiday entitlement.
