SEN Teaching Assistant - Learning Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at TimePlan Education. As a Learning Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one or small group support to students with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they have equal access to the curriculum.


Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting teaching materials to meet their diverse needs.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other relevant professionals.
Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive and respectful learning environment.

Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Education, Teaching Assistance, or a related field.
Experience working with students with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
Understanding of various special educational needs and the ability to tailor support accordingly.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with SEN

Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of relevant assistive technologies and resources.
Training in safeguarding and first aid.

Experience with specific SEN conditions (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia).
