Production Planner Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our technical team at New Appointments Group. This role involves planning and coordinating new projects, managing design documents, determining optimal manufacturing methods, and creating bills of materials. The successful candidate will ensure that all new projects are efficiently planned, and production schedules are managed to meet customer deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret and work with technical drawings to ensure accurate production planning
  2. Understand and implement various manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency
  3. Proficient in using SolidWorks software to create and manage production plans
  4. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve production goals
  5. Self-driven with strong initiative to identify and implement process improvements
  6. Familiarity with measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate production planning
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve production-related issues
  8. Possess good mathematical skills to manage production schedules and budgets
  9. Competent with computers, including proficiency in email, Word, Excel, and other software to support production planning
Position Overview: Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Production Planner role will be a combination of both shop floor and office-based tasks. A hands-on approach is essential to support our production department, contributing to problem-solving efforts and supporting overall company operations.
