Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Live Events Operations to join our team at Prospero Integrated. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall direction and execution of large-scale events, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop comprehensive event concepts, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Lead the technical production team in planning, managing, and executing large-scale events, including CAD plans, rigging plans, and coordination with associated schematics.
  • Conduct site visits and high-level conversations with clients, venues, and agency production managers to ensure successful event execution.
  • Research and identify technical solutions for events, opportunities for growth, and improvements in working practices, collaborating with technical teams to implement these changes.
  • Monitor KPIs for all aspects of delivery to measure performance and foster an environment of accountability.
  • Work closely with the Production Director to evaluate the needs of the technical department and ensure that we have the right mix of skills and numbers of people to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A proven track record of end-to-end technical production in live events, with experience in project management and planning.
  • Deep technical knowledge in at least one audiovisual discipline, with expertise in rigging, power, cable management, and event-based health and safety.
  • The ability to confidently calculate lens throws, lighting angles, weight loads, speaker dispersion, power draws, sight lines, floor load restrictions, etc.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • First-class interpersonal skills, particularly in meeting management and written communication.
  • Excellent IT skills, including competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience and familiarity with a CRM system.
