Supply Chain Coordination Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hospital Inventory Management Specialist to join our Materials team at The Princess Grace Hospital in London. This role is critical in providing comprehensive goods receipting services, supporting the theatres and the wider hospital supply chain.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with the theatre teams and the hospital's Supply Chain department to ensure efficient inventory management and accurate goods receipting.
  • To manage incoming goods, checking and recording their receipt, and ensuring they are stored properly according to departmental requirements.
  • To receive, inspect, and put away materials and supplies from the hospital's stockroom, identifying and reporting any discrepancies as necessary.
  • To conduct regular cycle counts of inventory stocks to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • To liaise with suppliers to return goods in cases of product recalls or incorrect deliveries.
  • To assist with quarterly consignment counts and annual stock takes to maintain accurate inventory records.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in materials management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
