Job Title: Teaching Assistant with Additional Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to provide support on a 1:1 basis to a pupil with additional needs in our Y2 classroom.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term contract initially until July 2025, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will work 27.5 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing needs. The role involves supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis, as well as working within the Y2 classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the pupil's integration into the class
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, as needed
  • Support the pupil's social and emotional development
Requirements:

We are looking for someone with a calm and positive manner, who is adaptable and has a caring nature. The successful candidate will hold a recognised and relevant NVQ level 2 qualification (minimum) or equivalent, and have experience working within a primary setting.
