Job Overview

Surrey Downs Health and Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Nurse Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our district nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the district nursing team
  • Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
  • Leading and facilitating educational programs for basic, post-basic, and in-service training
  • Facilitating patient-focused, innovative research-based practice
  • Working collaboratively with the Learning and Development Team to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and training
  • Participating in research and development opportunities as appropriate
  • Providing assistance with the resolution of complaints within the clinical specialty
  • Leading and implementing the SDH&C Clinical Governance Strategy within the practice area
  • Leading and implementing the SDH&C Risk Management Strategy within the practice area
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1st level registration educated to Level 3
  • Relevant specialist courses
  • Evidence of team management
  • District Nurse Qualification
  • Experience of nurse leadership and management
  • Experience of appraisal and clinical supervision
