Senior Ecologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at Ecology By Design. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological consultancy services to our clients across the UK.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic ecologist to take on a senior role within our company. You will be responsible for leading field teams and managing projects, conducting Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Impact Assessments, and protected species surveys. You will also be expected to prepare quotations and tenders, and design surveys and quotes for work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead field teams and manage projects
  • Conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Impact Assessments, and protected species surveys
  • Prepare quotations and tenders

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree or equivalent in an ecology-related discipline, and a survey licence for at least one protected species. You will also need to have advanced skills in one or more specialist ecological area, and be comfortable generating new work and networking.
