About the Role

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about Early Years and have significant knowledge and experience to support trainees working towards their Early Years Teacher Status.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Completing termly skills reviews with trainees to identify skills and knowledge gaps against the EYITT curriculum themes.
  • Completing observations in workplace and placement settings, liaising with mentors and lead trainers.
  • Developing and taking responsibility for the delivery of individual training plans tailored to trainees' needs.
  • Assessing and providing feedback to learners using an online system.
  • Supporting the delivery of training using approved training resources to cover curriculum themes.
  • Providing mental health and wellbeing support to trainees.
  • Ensuring that any necessary placements are arranged and attended, giving suggestions for schools/settings if required.
About You

We're looking for individuals who:

  • Have up-to-date Early Years industry knowledge.
  • Can develop strong professional relationships with employers, mentors, and trainees.
  • Can motivate learners and ensure they complete deadlines on time.
  • Have strong IT skills and are willing to work with online systems.
  • Hold a full driving licence, have their own vehicle, and are willing to travel to different settings.
  • Have high levels of motivation and the ability to use their own initiative.
