Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Associate Lawyer to join our team at Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP, who has expertise in commercial law, particularly in real estate and construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on complex property developments and regeneration projects, as well as significant engineering projects in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dealing with construction aspects of major property developments and regeneration projects, including development agreements, building contracts, bonds, guarantees, and professional appointments.
  • Working on significant engineering projects, particularly in the energy sector, such as onshore wind, hydro, battery storage, solar, tidal, and wave projects.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial law, preferably in real estate or construction.
  • An excellent understanding of legal knowledge and ability to present complex information in an understandable format.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to give well-prepared and presented training sessions.
  • A strong understanding of business development and ability to identify trends that may lead to business opportunities.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 - £95,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits, including a generous pension scheme, flexible working hours, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
