Role Overview:

As a Technical Designer at SIG Plc, you will be responsible for creating accurate and coordinated 2D technical drawings for various Flat roof waterproofing systems. If you have a background in construction design and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 2D detailed technical drawings for flat roof waterproofing systems including Single Ply Membranes, Reinforced Bitumen Membranes, Cold Applied Liquids and Hot Melt.
  • Collaborate with clients, Architects, and contractors to understand project requirements and offer robust solutions in line with British Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Utilize your AutoCAD expertise to produce accurate and coordinated designs.
  • Contribute to design meetings, bringing your insights and creativity to the table.
  • Answer technical queries in a polite and efficient manner from clients, Architects, Main Contractors, Builders and SIG Roofing Branches.
  • Liaise with internal colleagues to drive business forward.

Requirements:

  • Experience in construction design, including the use of AutoCAD.
  • A strong eye for detail and a passion for delivering quality work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges.
  • Full driving license and use of own vehicle.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience in the construction industry and flat roof design, although similar backgrounds and duration will also be considered. AutoCAD experience is also required.
