Junior Physicist

University Hospitals Birmingham is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Physicist to join our Radiation Protection Department. As a Junior Physicist, you will play a key role in providing scientific and administrative support to our team, particularly in x-ray quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide scientific and administrative support to the Radiation Protection Department, including data collection and analysis.
- Assist in the commissioning and routine testing of x-ray equipment.
- Develop specialist knowledge of Diagnostic Radiology Physics and Radiation Protection.
- Gain an understanding of radiation protection, x-ray quality assurance, and approved dosimetry services.
- Honours degree in Physics or a relevant subject.
- Good knowledge of general physics and IT packages such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience or education in Medical Physics and Radiation Protection.
- Ability to communicate effectively with physics colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
