About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Cover Supervisor to join our team at Vision for Education - Preston. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, managing classroom behavior, and providing a handover to the absent teacher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher
  • Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Record accurate registers and provide a handover to the absent teacher
  • Work across a range of secondary school subjects, with lesson plans provided in advance
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent education
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
  • A natural leader with the confidence to lead a lesson in the absence of the class teacher
  • A passion for education and providing the highest possible level of support to young people
