Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Secondary School Maths Teacher for a long term position, starting as soon as possible. The school is a mixed foundation secondary school, located in a nearby area. This is a full time, long term position that could become permanent with the school.

Class People is an independently run, family business specialising in the education sector. We were established over 20 years ago by our CEO who at the time was a supply teacher herself who wanted to create a better, more personalised service for clients and candidates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering effective lessons that meet the National Curriculum and are suitable for all pupils aged 11 to 16.
  • Ensuring lessons, units, and projects are clearly understood by pupils.
  • Staying current with any changes and developments to the national teaching curriculum.
  • Working with your colleagues to coordinate lesson plans where other subjects can complement your Maths lessons.
  • Being creative and enthusiastic about using different teaching methods, including solo work, group work, whole-class work, demonstrations, and experiments.
