Our Pharmacy Team

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at HMP Wayland, a category C prison located in Norfolk. This role offers a fantastic entry route into a Pharmacy in a unique environment, with lots of opportunities for training and career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support to the supply, preparation, and assembly of medicines under the direction of the Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Contribute to services such as medicines reconciliation, managing stock medicines, safe transportation of medicines, and providing support to a safe and secure medicines administration service.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent.
  • Medicines handling experience desirable but not essential.
  • Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
