About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Permanent Futures. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily plant inspections to monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues.
- Respond promptly to equipment stoppages and implement modifications to improve efficiency.
- Perform fault diagnosis and repairs on equipment and plant.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, root causes of failures, and spares/consumables used.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement new methods and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding a Mechanical Engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C&G Level 3 qualifications or higher.
- Degree/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
