About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Permanent Futures. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct daily plant inspections to monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues.
  2. Respond promptly to equipment stoppages and implement modifications to improve efficiency.
  3. Perform fault diagnosis and repairs on equipment and plant.
  4. Maintain accurate records of work carried out, root causes of failures, and spares/consumables used.
  5. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement new methods and procedures.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding a Mechanical Engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C&G Level 3 qualifications or higher.
  3. Degree/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Ability to work well under pressure.
