Job Description:

We are seeking an Educational Support Specialist to join our dynamic team, providing exceptional support to children and young people with severe learning difficulties.

About the Role:

  • To attend to pupils' personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid, and welfare matters.
  • Provide clerical/administrative support to assigned teachers, e.g., photocopying, typing, filing, and record keeping.
  • Assist with planning and delivery of individual education plans (or other pupil-specific plans).
  • Monitor and evaluate pupils' progress and maintain pupil records.
  • Use specialist knowledge or experience to support pupils' learning.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and professional staff to promote learning objectives.
  • Use initiative to develop actions promoting pupils' integration with peers.

Candidate Requirements:

  • To be willing and able to work towards relevant qualifications, training, and self-development.
  • Adapt communication style and develop skills to suit pupils' needs.
  • Support students during swimming or hydrotherapy activities.
  • Understand, interpret, and deliver effective education and care plans based on a need-led approach.
