Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Personal Care Assistant to join our son's care team in providing exceptional support for his complex needs, including autism and Down's syndrome.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising activities, providing personal care assistance as needed, and transporting our son to appointments and activities. Our son is sensory driven and enjoys spending time outside, particularly going on walks to the local park.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and engage our son in various activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Provide personal care assistance as needed, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Transport our son to appointments and activities when necessary, maintaining safety and comfort during travel.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with autism and associated support strategies, with a focus on promoting independence and confidence.
  • Safeguarding Adults/Children training, ensuring the highest standards of care and protection.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle, facilitating transportation and mobility.
Work Schedule:

This part-time position requires flexibility, particularly during weekends and school holidays. We would prefer someone available to start mornings on weekdays if possible.

Salary and Benefits:
