We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Specialist Support to join our team at Long Term Futures Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with students with special educational needs and contribute to the development of our new provision.

Job Overview

In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide support and guidance to students. You will also be responsible for delivering lessons and activities that cater to the individual needs of each student.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and guidance to students with special educational needs
  • Deliver lessons and activities that cater to individual student needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement personalized learning plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Higher Level Teaching Assistant diploma or equivalent qualification (desirable)
  • GCSE passes above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and Maths
  • Relevant knowledge and experience working with students with SEN or SEMH/ASD
  • An understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
  • Experience managing behaviour and promoting independence in students
