Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Scientist to join our team in this lab-based role. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions for next-generation purification processes that meet industry demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of advanced primary recovery strategies
  • Assess novel primary recovery technologies at laboratory and pilot scale
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable primary recovery processes and novel affinity purification methods
  • Assess ligands and tag technologies for novel affinity capture steps
  • Study ligand-protein interactions through in-silico and biophysical methods
  • Develop and refine process conditions for bespoke affinity capture methods
  • Independently design studies, collect, evaluate, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to achieve project targets
  • Write and execute detailed study plans with problem statements, success criteria, and timelines
  • Author high-quality technical reports and publications with scientifically supported conclusions and recommendations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in biotechnology, chemistry, or chemical engineering
  • Demonstrable experience in working in a laboratory environment
  • Experience in primary recovery, including depth filtration, centrifugation process development, and novel affinity capture methods for mAb and non-mAb products
  • Experience in writing scientific technical reports and publications
  • Fluent English language skills
