Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Colchester Specialist Mental Health team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our services.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Consultant Psychiatrist to take on a leadership role within our trust. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist psychiatric services to patients in need, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.
  • Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior doctors and staff.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Liaising with primary care providers and other external agencies to optimize patient care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Fulfill GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, with an appropriate CCT or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and outcomes.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is approximately £120,000 - £170,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
