Sterile Services Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Services Technician to join our team at Practice Plus Group. As a key member of our Sterile Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective decontamination and sterile supplies service for our patients and surgeons.
Key Responsibilities- Reprocess reusable medical devices, including washing, disinfecting, and sterilizing theatre equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of supplies inventories and stock levels, tracking theatre items and instruments on our computer system.
- Monitor all procedures and report malfunctions of sterilisers and washer-disinfectors to the Sterile Services Manager.
- Participate in conducting planned audits to ensure equipment is correctly labelled and available as required.
- Strong understanding of decontamination processes within a healthcare/surgical environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a good degree of computer literacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and exert moderate to high physical effort while unloading and loading trolleys.
