Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Product Quality Assurance Specialist to join our General Merchandise team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and safety of products across Sainsbury's and our brands.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the development and implementation of product delivery strategies, including supplier and product approval, competitor benchmarking, customer and store feedback, range reviews, and post-implementation reviews.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with buyers, designers, merchandisers, and the supply chain to identify supplier selection, implement improvements in supplier performance and product quality, and maintain technical records in line with company procedures and legal guidelines.
  • Support the Technical Manager and Lead Technologist in delivering the category strategy by managing various aspects of product delivery.
  • Contribute to product development and improvement by providing data analysis and interpretation, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and delivering results in a fast-moving, dynamic retail environment.
Requirements
  • A strong background in product quality assurance or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
