About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Associate Director Building Surveying to join our team at Gleeds. As a key member of our Building Surveying team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of a range of building surveying services, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business unit directors in delivering business objectives;
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships;
- Deliver high-quality building surveying services and ensure that deliverables meet customer requirements;
- Manage building surveying commissions, including feasibility studies, design, contract administration, and handover;
- Prepare and manage planned maintenance programmes;
- Agree with the Director and Client the right sub-consultants to assist with delivery of a commission;
- Communicate effectively with clients and project team members;
- Ensure that all quantitative and financial information has been independently checked before issue;
- Lead and manage teams working for you, providing mentoring and coaching when required;
- Mentor and coach employees to help them realize their full potential;
- Prepare bids for services;
- Manage service delivery for profit.

About You
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Building Surveying professional with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services. You will have a broad, in-depth understanding of building surveying tasks, including construction methods and materials, construction procurement strategies, and contract administration. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead high-performance teams.

- MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
